The ability to stream TV shows over the internet is nothing short of amazing. I occasionally just have to stop and look at the technology and go “wow” a bit. It’s so incredibly awesome that I pretty much take it for granted now.

I don’t understand why Moffatt would call it the 50th anniversary special if its not going to pay homage to all of the doctors and companions (and the actors who portrayed them) who made Doctor Who as beloved as it’s been for the past 50 years…because isn’t that the purpose of a 50th anniversary special in the first place??
If its just going to be a Moffatt’s-doctors special, then he has no business calling it the 50th special…he’d be better off calling it The Two Doctors 2.0

So my computer won’t boot.
I took it to apple, they said it was a 3rd party app problem and to remove apps till the problem is gone.
I have removed all apps that did not come with the computer and I still have the problem.
The only thing I can think to do is wipe the HD and start anew. Only I don’t have a startup disc.
I am operating on a 2009 MacBook Pro running OSX 10.6.8.
I don’t know what to do.

i had something very similar happen to me too. i had brought my 2008 (aluminum) macbook to the apple store twice because my computer wouldn’t boot up at all after i had downloaded a 3rd party app, and after nothing worked (permanently) they ended up wiping my hard drive, but even that didn’t work… unfortunately i found out from extensive searching on the internet that my hard drive was bad and that i would have to get a new one, but i ended up just getting a new one as a birthday present instead of splashing out the money for a new hard drive to go inside a 4 year old computer when it would be cheaper in the long run to get a new one instead of throwing money at an old one.
if you can afford it, maybe you could get a new one? or if not you could possibly get a new hard drive for it and hopefully that would solve the problem…either way, good luck! i hope you get it all sorted out soon
