When Elisabeth died it affected me more than I could ever have anticipated. A childhood hero, still loved today by a new generation of viewers, her Sarah Jane was the definitive Doctor Who companion - loved every bit as much today as she was 38 years ago. And to mark my heartfelt respects to someone who meant so very much to me as a little boy, I’ve left Elisabeth to voice the tribute in her own words: A touching, poignant and philosophical reflection on loss, sorrow and joy. Goodbye Sarah Jane.”
